Tailor Made Training will be delivering certificated navigation training under the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS). The NNAS is a national scheme designed to develop each participants personal skills and improve performance without being competitive.

Although the NNAS is not a leadership course many aspects of mountain training awards are covered for example;

• Route Planning
• Map skills
• Safety on the hill
• Emergency procedures
• Conservation
• Environmental concerns

This is the ideal stepping stone for teachers or leaders to learn the skills needed for gaining a full mountain training award. The NNAS will also give the required skills to confidently teach DofE groups simple navigation.

There are three levels of the NNAS that Tailor Made Training will be focussing on, Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Gold level is broken down into two separate sections, the first being a training course the second the assessment. 

On successful completion of the course participants will receive Nation Accreditation and a certificate from the NNAS.
